Prefer something based on blueberries. I've never tried eliquid with menthol before and have no idea where to start off with making a recipe up using it. I'm still a newbie at DIY. Thanks in advance!
You can make virtually any recipe you have and add menthol. I would start at .75% and go up from there. In fruit I like around 2% but thats pretty strong. Always better to start low and add. What flavorings do you have and maybe we can come up with a decent recipe for them?
If your going to use fruit or desert flavors I would not use menthol to achieve a cooling effect. Use koolada instead.
Flavor Apprentice - Koolada - 10mL
It will give you that cooling effect your looking for without masking the flavor of the fruit with a menthol taste. It will give you the effect of lets say a "Blueberry slush" or make a vanilla milkshake with lets say Capella vanilla custard.
Capella - Vanilla Custard V1 - 30mL
Use koolata starting at 2% and workup.
Another nice cooling vape would be a peppermint patty
1% or less (Strong stuff) TFA peppermint Flavor Apprentice - Peppermint II - 10mL
10% chocolate mint One Stop Flavors - Chocolate Mint - 30mL
1% koolada and work up.
The only time I would use menthol is with tobacco mixes. If that is what your after then menthol is the answer but again start low at like 1% and work up because most menthols are powerful stuff..
Crystals are fine to use but your better off dissolving them in PG or a 50/50 mix of pg and grain alcohol. Water will act as a thinner which may not be desirable for some mixes. You can add some heat to help with dissolving. Most make a 10% solution 1ml crystals to 9ml solution which will serve as your concentrate. Are menthol crystals OK to use in vape juice?
(dissolved in distilled water)
Thank you =) I'll try Koolada out.
OP is using Cap menthol.Sorry, I must have read it wrong. I thought you were asking about menthol and not a cooling effect. Koolada works and WS-23 (which I like better) has the same effect but its colder than koolada at the same %. Personally I love keylime and menthol.
Haven't tried my FW toasted marshmallow, tad afraid of it honestly. Thought it might pair well with my TPA Kentucky bourbon.I just made this one and it's pretty good, not technically and menthol but easy to make and very tasty. I mix it at 50/50 so if you mix at a higher VG you may need to tweak it to get the same results.
FW Candy Cane 2%
TFA Toasted Marshmallow 1%
Never tried the FW but I have used the TFA one. It goes good with certain flavors. The boubon sounds good. Hmmm, maybe a bourbon caramel cream with a hint of toasted marshmallowHaven't tried my FW toasted marshmallow, tad afraid of it honestly. Thought it might pair well with my TPA Kentucky bourbon.
Exactly where I was going with it. Going to mix 2, one with cheesecake added as well. Forgot to order brown sugar so thought the toasted mm might work.Never tried the FW but I have used the TFA one.
