So, I have never had this happen. I have had a bad week so far, got exited and smoked about two ml in a very short period of time. 18mg. I'm tiny, 4'9", 85pounds, was a heavy-ish smoker. Bleh, now I feel icky, heart rate is normal, but it feels like it's racing, light headed. I'm drinking lots of water, deep breaths..is there anything else that you've found that helps? I'm tired, but I don't want to go to bed. I don't want my heart to stop lol..I know it won't though haha. But yeah, anything helps. Thank you:)

My dad used to have this happen to a few customers from his cigar shop (not actually in the shop, we always heard after the fact). Putting down the vape and drinking water are good, but eating may very well help as well. Eating helps kick off the rest of your digestion and metabolic systems and that means the nic in your system might get processed out a little more quickly.

According to at least one customer, lying on the floor helps too :)

Feel better soon!

I think you're okay. If you were a heavy smoker(pack or more a day) keep in mind, you were getting a whole lot more than 18mg a day in nicotine. Just a thought. Of course if you're that worried try some lower 8, 12mg nicotine and just use the higher mg when you're having a fit and trying your best to stay away from the stinkies.

You can also, in an empty bottle cut the juice you're using. A gallon of distilled water is 1$ some, Humco USP grade vegetable glycerin is found in the pharmacy section(walmart) for about 3$. In an empty bottle fill it half way with the juice you're using(maybe a 6-10ml sample bottle) then add 4-5 drops distilled water, and VG almost to the top. Shake. If too thick, add more distilled water. This may cut on the flavor, however for a "between a hard place and a rock" until lower mg juice comes in the mail, if you're that worried, it's an option and your mg will then be at about 9mg.

+1 Water, some food, food with fiber will keep it moving-oatmeal, raisins, blueberries, avocado, most seeds + much more.

I've gotten sick off of cigars many times and I can tell you it's no fun. Once you feel it there's nothing you can do. I would just curl up in the bed and try to sleep it off. I could never smoke a cigar more that half way before getting sick. I haven't gotten sick of vaping yet, but I've been sticking to 6mil.

We would warn people that it feels like when you've had too much to drink, only you can't curl up with the toilet to make it all better... Once every month or so someone would come in with their story of smoking a big stick while mowing the lawn first thing on a sunny Saturday morning and spending the next several hours just miserable

Agua.

This happens to me at least once a day lol. You just need to put your PV down and drink a glass or two of water.
Drink the water quickly, as long as you pump some water in the OD symptoms will subside pretty quickly I've found.

Once a day? That would drive me crazy! I would probably stay off of it if that happened to me. Mine seemed like it when in phases..I was laying down about to fall asleep, then BAM my heart started racing a million miles per hour. So I sat up and breathed through it.
Drink it quickly? Ah, that's probably why it didn't go away as fast as I was hoping it would. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone, that sucked haha.

+1 on the food. that always helps me when i over-indulge. and shy away from alcohol until you feel better. that always makes me feel worse if ive got too much nic in my system.
the beauty of nicotine as a stimulant is that is leaves your body relitavely quickly. as opposed to say caffeine, which tends to stick around WAY past its welcome.
nicotine for the win.

Ah, maybe try 6mg strength and work up, if you still get cravings?

There is no need to vape any strength higher than what is needed to stop the cravings; unless you have cognitive function issues or something, and the higher strength fixes that without any signs of over-consumption.

As for OD reduction, I'd tend to say: a lot of water, keep walking around, and even external vagal inhibition (vagus nerve massage) if the heart is going nuts. But I'm not going to expand on that as it's something for medics or people who know the issues.

I got pretty bad case of "nicotine overdose" back about 2 months after I quit smoking and started vaping. I was using 24mg. and suddenly, one morning, I felt HORRIBLE!! Massive anxiety, racing heart, clammy skin, dizzy...complete panic set in. Even lying down frightened me! lol! Being the age I am..and with high BP...I really thought I was on the verge of a heart attack.

After a visit to the ER and a night in the hospital..I was basically okay. Had a bit of abnormal EKG but only a small red flag. They ran a bunch of tests and I had to do a chemical stress test...but it all ended up okay.

I did figure out what probably happened, and promptly dropped my nic level to 12mg. Had no problems with that, so I've been weaning down sloooooowly over the past year and am now vaping 4mg quite contentedly.

If you smoked a pack a day of Marlboro lights you were getting about 16 mg of nicotine. When you have a bottle that says 9 mg nicotine and its a 10 mL bottle....does that mean the entire bottle content is 9 mg or that it's 9 mg/ml?

Its per ml, but from what ive read you only get about 1/3 of the nic when vaping roughly. So if you use 18mg, and you use 3ml a day, you are probably taking in about 18mg per day according to studies

I use about 2-3ml of 24-36mg a day, and i was only using a half pack a day

So, if you have a bottle that is 10ml with 9mg nicotine...it means that there are 9mg's of nicotine in one ml. So, with a 10ml, you have 90mg's of nicotine in the whole bottle.
