Any guidance on Licorice, both Red (twizzler) and Black

I love Black licorice and the wife loves the Red (twizzler taste). Is this a simple mix.....can someone point me in right direction for each? Note, just starting to DIY and have been ordering through TFA/TPA if that helps.

all i can say is stay away from Lorann's red licorice flavoring.
i tried to diy mix that today and no matter what concentration it has this really gross flavor to it.
sent shivers down my spine lol it's very "perfumey" when you vape it and it feels like it's coating your mouth and throat with this gross stuff.

I second that comment of the LA red licorice...it blows. FW makes a great red licorice flavor, tastes just like old fashioned red vines. But if you want a more twizzleresque version..

14% red licorice (FW)
3% raspberry (TFA)
3% sweet strawberry (cap)
sweetener to taste

You could easily switch out the raspberry and strawberry to whatever you have on hand.

As far as Black Licorice is concerned, I like Lor Anne black licorice. You can start at about 5% and work your way up to a level of licorice that is right for you. Absinthe, from TFA is also good, but has more herbal notes in it. And if you want something with that black licorice, try this.

8% grape juice (TFA)
8% Absinthe (TFA)
sweetener to taste. (usually I use 1 drop per 2 mil but I have a sweet tooth)
1 drop lemon juice per 5 mil

This flavor is one of my favorite licorice type vapes, and I have a few friends who really like it too.

I love black licorice. I use MBVs black licorice. I use 5ml 50/50 and 1ml flavoring,for me it turns out perfect. Have yet to try their red twizzler,so far I am very satisfied with all their flavorings.

I use the LA red licor all the time and never had anyone turn away from it. I even just now licked some off my finger and after about 10 seconds it starts to taste exactly as it should. It's very light and probably not what people expect it to be as a 1:1 twizzlers type flavor but it works if mixed in the right context. I use it with punch, dew, gummy, and assorted candy type vapes along with an array of fruits. It adds that extra little something that for me tends to be missing at times.

Black licorice may be flavored with licorice extract, anise or a combination of the two. It also sometimes contains molasses to enhance the licorice flavor. Red licorice, on the other hand, rarely contains licorice extract and instead usually relies on natural or artificial flavors to give it a cherry or strawberry flavor.

Here is a mixture that I put together that is like a red licorice that I think turned out really good. It's good right after mixing but gets even better with a couple weeks of steeping.

TPA Absinthe - 10%
TPA Raspberry - 6%
TPA Black Cherry - 3%
TPA Smooth - 2%
