Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the smoking vapor Mi-Pod and a quick overview of their Mi-salts ejuice, please see the bottom for disclaimers and links. Note this product is a retail and updated version sold at ECC Ontario 2018.
Introduction:
The Mi-Pod is the latest device from smoking vapor who makes only small portable easy to use devices but is based out of the USA and has a good reputation for their service. I personally got to meet the owner at ECC and he was really nice guy FWIW. The Mi-Pod is a simple pod system which is a popular style of vape these days. The Mi-Pod is a pretty small in size AIO Pod system like a innokin EQ or Wismec Motiv but more square in shape, with a built in 950mah battery and an inhale to fire. I’m not going to list all the colors or options because seriously there are like 50 of them. They had 50 different colors at ECC some with leather on them, some with cork on them all sorts of designs and stuff. They sell on their official site for around 45-60 USD depending what color and/or bundle you want and replacement pods are 2 for 10 USD so pretty standard price for pods.

Kit Rundown
The Smoking Vapor Mi-Pod is a flat thin square shaped AIO (all in one) Pod kit, meaning there isn’t a separate mod or tank that can be used with anything else. It does have replaceable pods so you can carry spares. It’s quite small though and very easy to pocket or wear around your neck. The specs don’t say it comes with a lanyard but mine did come with one in the accessories box along with the USB cable so i’m pretty sure they all come with one. It doesn't come with the metal chain though that I used that are in the pics but i mostly just wore this around my neck with the metal chain and it was very convenient. There is slight adjustable air on this device. The pods come with little air inserts that you can put into the aithole to make it tighter. It’s a small plastic piece and once it’s in it’s hard to get out. It’s a MTL vape not super tight but not loose either. The inserts make it slightly tighter. I didn’t notice much of a difference but slightly preferred it with the inserts. It has a good capacity of 2 ml and barely uses much juice at all. The battery is listed at 950mah so very large battery as well for such a small pod system. It features built in USB charging but they don’t list charge rate but it does charge pretty quickly. It have passthrough vaping as well which is great. The drip tip is proprietary and part of the pod and is pretty comfy to use. The Mi-Pod is nicely built and feels solid. The coloring is beautiful. I have the rainbow one and it’s mostly purple but looks great. There are tons of color options out there though.
The Pod itself is really easy to fill. To remove the pod just pull up on it. The pods have 2 fins on the sides making it easy to grip to pull in or out. Very well done. It comes with an empty pod and the coils are built into the pod like the Wismec Motiv 2 or rincoe Ceto. The pods just click into place. They are easy to remove and stay in place perfectly. To fill them pull out the pod, then take off the rubber plug on the bottom. The fill hole is a good size but needs a fine tooth bottle still. The pods are slightly tinted but not too dark and thanks to the large cutouts on the front and back of the mi-pod logo it’s easy to see your juice level at all times.
Usage is pretty easy. It’s an inhale to fire device but unlike many of them also has an on/off button if you want to turn it off. The button is a small clear button right below the USB port. 5 clicks turns the device on or off. It also is used to turn stealth mode on and off. With the device on, hold the button for 5 seconds to switch between stealth mode on or off. Stealth mode turns the LEDs off. The LEDs are nice and bright and shine through all the clear openings on the device including the juice window. The LEDs act as a battery meter and to alert you of safety protections kicking in. Blue means 3.7V or more, Purple is 3.4-3.7V and red is under 3.4V. Very well done. Red flashing 10 times means the battery is dead or you hit the 10 second cut off. Red flashing 4 times means a bad coil/connection or overheat protection. It’s a direct output device listed at 3.0V to 4.2V but works really well at any charge and doesn't feel much weaker on the low side until the battery is almost dead.
Coil Performance and details
The Mi-Pod comes with 2 pods which is great. I’m glad they included a spare as pod as all pods should come with a spare to start. The pods for this are average price at around 4-5 USD for a pod. There is only 1 type of pod for this which uses a 1 ohm coil. With that said the pods were excellent on this. I personally purchased 8 more myself and am currently using pod number 5. They claim that you get up to 5 fill ups (10ml) per pod. I found that conservative personally. I’ve gotten double that (20ml) on all my pods and not a bad one yet. Very impressed with the pod QC and longevity. Flavor is also really good for a pod system as well. I have no complaints on the pods at all. Very good. I used all 50-55%% VG nic salt juices 20-35 mg nicotine.
Mi Salt Juices
I don’t really do juice reviews as i’m not a fan of them but I did want to talk a little about their salt line since i can't find it anywhere to buy not even their own site and never seen anything on it really. I like that they come in 20mg. Lots of juices only come in 25 or more strength which is a little too high for my liking/needs personally. Especially when you get to the 35+ and i’m constantly using tons of pods to review and buying more salt juices to review them it’s hard to find good lower MG juices. They have 4 flavors that i’m aware of and all simple flavors. They are also clean and not overly sweet and seem to do a good job of not killing coils. I don’t think they add any sweetner. Here is a quick rundown of them
Currant - start with my favorite one. Never had a real life currant but it taste a lot like lychee to me and i got the same reaction from everyone who tried it as well. And i have had real lychee fruit. It’s just excellent and probably my favorite salt juice i’ve tried overall. I can't wait to see it up for sale so i can buy a few more bottles.
Grape - a basic grape juice that’s great and accurately flavored
Mango - same as the grape
Pomello - Never had a real pomelo fruit. It’s a citrus though and the juice taste a lot like a grapefruit. Not for everyone but i enjoy it since i like grapefruit personally.
Pros:
So with all that said, do I recommend this POD AIO or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no, but this one is an easy yes for me. It’s easily my favorite autodraw pod system and one of my favorites overall. It is a little more money than other options but this is a clear case where it’s worth it to spend the few extra bucks to get a nicer device. The Mi-pod gets a lot of things right other pods get wrong and It’s hard to find any faults with it. The Coil Performance is great and the lack of duds is very encouraging.
