Review Disclaimer
I review products for what they are with no account of where it comes from or who makes it. The test results are the results for what is in my hand. Due to possible QC difference your experience may vary. There is no way for myself or anyone to predict if a device will last 6 months, 1 year, 5 years etc. Any manufactured item from cars to phones to computers to mods have a possibility of arriving DOA or having a small percent failure rate. There is no way to predict this or quantify this. That’s why warranties and lemon laws exist. I can only review what I have in my hand for better or for worse. Contrary to popular belief, there is no special review samples of higher quality. Most of the time personally i get retail versions, the few times i’ve gotten early releases they are usually worse than the final retail version.
Reviewer Disclaimer
I decided to add this disclaimer in as i feel it’s important for people to know their source of the review. I’ve been vaping since late 2011. I’ve vaped all the styles from MTL to RLH to DTL. tanks, RTAs, RDAs, you name it. I do prefer the DTL and RLH style over MTL personally. My main focus from an atomizer is flavor. For mods i’ve used mechs and regulated mods. I’m an avid temp control vaper but enjoy power mode as well and the occasion mech useage for nostalgia. I’ve been doing reviews since late 2016. As of Jan 2018 I’ve done over 100 written reviews and done over 150 video reviews on my channel, Although i’ve taken a break from videos in the past few months to focus on written reviews.
I spend a lot of time helping vapers on forums as well and try to answer all the questions and comments on my reviews. I’m not an “out of the box” reviewer. I do my best to be thorough at all times. All mods get tested with an oscilloscope and stress tested. At times if needed i’ll disassemble them as well. Rebuildables get multiple builds in them. Tanks i use all coils until the die or a minimum of 2 weeks if they don’t die sooner. I do this for the community to help people find good products and avoid bad ones. In my opinion a reviewer works for the community and nobody else. It’s our job to inform vapers of issues and not be advertisers as well as provide constructive criticism from a place of knowledge back to companies with these reviews so they can improve and make better products in the future.

Pocket Box
Introduction:
The innokin pocketbox is a small AIO style device similar to the mi-one. It features a top fill where the coil is screwed in to the top which is then screwed down directly into the box. With a 1200mah built in battery and a 2ml capacity it is a nice on the go set-up. It’s available in 3 colors black, blue, and white

Kit Rundown
The Innokin Pocketbox Is a Box style AIO (all in one) kit, meaning there isn’t a separate mod or tank that can be used with anything else. It’s a miniature one at that and similar to the smoking vapor mi-one. it’s features top airflow with coil options for DTL or MTL vaping, but only the DTL one’s are included. It has a good capacity of 2ml and doesn’t use a lot of juice. The battery is listed at 1200 mah and the max power output at 40 watts. It’s a direct output system so you will get weaker hits as the battery dies. There is an LED to let you know battery life. Green for full, yellow for dying, red for almost dead. It features built in charging but they don’t list the rate. Still it charges pretty fast. I didn't time it but charging seemed around 1-2 hours to charge. There is Passthrough vaping as well. Air is adjustable and very easy to adjust. You can get it pretty tight even with the DTL coil but it doesn't work well with that coil. I didn’t receive a MTL coil to try it with.
It has 1 LED Light on it above the USB port. The fire button is on top and is rubber with a nice feel to it. Filling the box is very easy just unscrew the the top and fill inside the large fill area but only to the max line. If you fill past that, it’ll overflow when you put the coil back in. There is a cut out as well and the glass is clear so juice level is easy to see. It uses the standard 5 clicks on and off as well. Overall a very easy to use and nice little vape pod
Coil Performance and details
The kit comes with 1 type of coil (a .35 ohm DTL coil) but also has an optional MTL coil available. They sent me a spare pack of the DTL coils but none of the MTL coil so i can’t judge that one. Now time for the fun part. I took it apart and from my estimation and based on the specs it appears to be a single spaced coil, 2.7mm ID, of 23 gauge wire around 4-5 wraps. It uses non-resistance leads like many premade coils. If i plug in those specs into a an ohms law calculator (.35 ohms, 40 watts max) the volt output would be 3.7 volts. So you won’t start feeling a weaker hit until you get below that point. Based on their specs the cut off is 3.2. The coils for this use a more standard style like many sub ohm tanks and not the BF ones like the mi-one or similar joyetech ones. Which makes it work better with thick juices. I ran 50/50 30mg nic salts with no issues but it could be harsh for some with the DTL coil. I also ran 70/30 3mg as well with no issues, but the hit was weak for me. I’d need more than 3mg personally for a device like this. It’s kind of an inbetweener.
As far as the actual coil performance goes. The flavor was on the better side for AIO systems for sure. I liked these coils better than the mi-one or joyetech BF coils personally. Obviously you have to consider the type of device isn’t going to be a flavor monster by most people’s definition including my own. Coil life was hit an miss. I used 3 coils in it. 1 coil i was able to use 20 ml of juice which i consider good for the type of device. It’s not a juice hog and should be good for a weeks use. 1 coil I only got 6 ml out of before burnt taste which is not very good. The 3rd i got 14ml out of. Which is decent. So coil QC like always with pre-mades could be an issue. 1 was good, 1 was decent 1 was bad. It also handles chain vaping well. I can take 3-4 long puffs before i have to let it sit a few seconds and rewick.
Pros:
So with all that said, do I recommend this kit or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no, but this is going to lean a little towards the yes. It’s essentially the innokin version of the mi-one but it works great a sa simple AIO box device. Coil QC is a bit iffy so don’t be surprised if you get some bad ones. Still it’s the newest box style mini AIO from a company known for solid products. They just need to work on their coil QC. I’ll be adding it to my spreadsheet.
It can be purchased here for 29.99 in the US
