OK. I want to quitsmoking, and believe that vaping may be my best, (and last) bet. I bought a few disposibles to see if I even have a chance at making this work, and I did great! I haven't smoked in a vehicle for 2-1/2 days.:)
I ordered a free kit from Regal cigs, and now I want to order a "real" starter set. Suggestions?
I've been eyeballing the V2 brand along with Auquavapors starter kit.
I am looking at the sets with the VCC included.

Welcome , but return that " free kit " it's far from free . Just a ploy to get you hooked . They will bill your credit card , for a large sum , if you don't send it back , and their carts, or whatever their using are three or four times more expensive than anyone elses . That being said . Instead of buying some starter set , why not order an Ego "twist" or even a Kgo VV device . and with either of those , get a mini Vivi-Nova . Easy to use , and cheap to buy . Hope that helps . Remember that the closer a device mimics a real cigarette , the more likely it will not be very good . You need more voltage than most of those little devices provide . The battery life on them isn't very good either . Do you want to vape , or sit around and charge batteries ??? Good Luck . from a former Camel guy .

If you must have a cigarette size PV, the Volt from Smokeless Image seems to be the most recommended. For better performance, get an eGo or clone (Riva, KGo). They will provide better battery life and more options for cartomizers, tanks, etc. They are larger than a cigarette, more like the size of a cigar. If you decide to go that route, get a couple of eGo Twist batteries with Stardust cartos or a mini ViviNova tank. They are easy to fill and the batteries will last at least half a day (depending on size)

Good Luck with switching over.

Congrats. so far! As Renzuli said, don't worry about the larger size. Your trying to stop the smokes! get something that will really work. You will like the larger one very quickly. Best wishes.

I struggled through 4 months of the lil ciggie looking disposables and rechargables with throw away tips... Last month I broke down and bought a bigger unit and have not regretted it a bit. Longer battery life and longer times between fills. I haven't had a real ciggie since June 15, so for me, this does work. Good Luck to you!

I too started off with several cig type vaporizers. It showed me the possibilities. But as the previous peeps stated, they don't last long and don't have the power fro replacing what your used to. A variable voltage device is what you need. The lavatube is a great value for the price VV as well as the eGo k-8 vv. get some standard resistance Boge cartos & start trying different juices. Find a flavor that satisfies you & then start playing around with the various voltage & resistance of atomizers/cartos. there is a wealth of info here. I spent 2 days just reading and still didn't really wrap my head around things until I went to a meet and talked to other people. Use the resources available here to find what you need...it's here & you're close to finding the door to freedom. g/l

It really is quite overwhelming.
One thing I want to avoid is "trying" this and that. At $30.00 everytime I switch to something else, along with having equipment that I don't want or need, it seems like a waste. I don't plan on vaping permanently, just a transition to break the actual smoking habit.

It's understandable the point you have, but heres the problem - even if you plan to quit everything the ciggy lookalikes cost about the same as something better to get started but the step up items actually cost less in the long run.

for 60 dollars say, you can get a nice kit from V2cigs (or somewhere else), or the same amount will get you a couple batteries, case, clearos, the V2 or any cigalike has a higher cost for supplies to keep it running, the carts are usually 7-12 dollars per 5 (if not more) and thats 5 or less days of smokes depending on your level. or approx 13 dollars for a 30 ml bottle of juice which will last 15-30 days depending on how heavy you smoke, plus the vaping from a step up device is well proven to be more satisfying and more conductive towards dropping the cigs. and even if you do stop its nice to know the better quality vaping kit is there if you fall back.

Same here, started with Blus, then upgraded to eGos, now have a Bolt and Telescope with Vivi Nova 3.5ml and 2.5ml., wish I would have started with the last set.

After the initial PV and tank coil/carto, replacement costs are liquid, batteries and coil/carto.

bought a 50ml bottle for 13.69, which if you vape 2ml/day it will cost you .5476/day

an additional 3000mah battery for 7.89, lasts me all day, don't know lifespan yet

and coil/cartos are ~2, give or take 1 :), once you pick style you like buy in bulk for even cheaper

once i've recouped all my costs from cig savings and go positive I'll get a fancier looking PV because I want to :)

welcome aboard and good luck.

edit: also the BR-103W Multi-Volt Charger

Tripple digits half way to home
I got one of the kits that Vapoor eyes er mentioned and also a couple of 1000mah twist. I started with the viv nova clearomizer and have been very pleased with the vivi nova. Enough so that I think I have a total of 10 if I remember right. Good luck whichever way you go. As long as you don't go back to the analogs.
