Hey all I'm still pretty new to this - I'm happy wit my ego t except often when I inhale there is this annoying bubbling sound, I've dismantled it and there's no leaks, tried blowing thru the airhole - to no avail. It happened on my first cartomiser/clearomizer (not sure what it is its see thru with 2 wicks if that's relevant). Any suggestions? Are they just dodgy cartos or clearos?

Ego tanks are notoriously dodgy. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your setup. If you draw too fast, it will pull liquid too rapidly into the atty and begin to flood it. Usually that's the gurgling you will hear. Hit slow and steady and the excess should vape off. If you're getting leaking around the base, that is another issue. It can still be caused by hitting to hard but it can also be the inherent leakiness of the Ego tank system. The seal around the atty spike can loosen, allowing juice to drip outside the wick. Those things are tough to finesse which is why most of us move on to other modes of vaping (Nova tanks, Stardusts, clearos, cartos, and DCTs all work better imho). Start with trying to soften your draw and see if the problem persists.

Sorry don't know how to multiquote from this phone....umm I don't think I have an ego tank, it's an egot4 ultimate starter kit.

I bought it cos it seemed easy to use, which is paramount if there's no one to show me. Do you suggest something else if the problem persists?

Yeah sounds like you're filling your cart too much. Dab it on a paper towel and look through the hole before you screw in. If you can see through, you're good to go. If you can't, dab it until the excess liquid comes out the bottom of the cart, look through the hole, and if it's all clear, you're good to go. If this happens frequently then chances are you could use a bit of a more thorough cleaning of the inside of your battery area. Too much dripping in there has actually killed a battery on me before!

This can happen if you overfill the clearomizer. Juice get sucked up in to the plastic sleeve the slides on top wick & coil.
Remove the mouth piece, and poke a piece of rolled up paper towel down through the tip to soak up the juice.
If you have the "stardust" clearo that has a spiked tube that sticks into the mouth piece, you probably can't clear it until you empty the juice.
