Looking for an "authentic" (as in, not the one with the Mickey mouse middle finger on the bottom) Fuhattan by Ameravape. I've found a few listings for the copper ones, but I'm really looking for a white or black one. Or one of the other colored ones.

Ignore initial post, confusing wording fried my brain...lol

I know fasttech has some of the various colors, but im pretty sure they're gonna be aluminum.

We're on a weird editing/posting schedule thing lol.

Is there an issue with aluminum over steel?

AFAIK the original was copper, they may have made some aluminum versions that i missed before the clones started rolling out/the stuff hit the fan.

Personally i would never buy a mech mod with an aluminum topcap, the threads just wont last.

Regarding continuity obv the copper will be best followed by the aluminum then the steel versions, regarding maintenance the steel version is probably best as the copper will patina(and smell), and aluminum is soft. Honestly i don't love copper topcaps either, but whatever.

How about the black carbon wrapped copper FU hattan that 101vape just got in?

That's definitely viable. The only reason I'm into the aluminum is because my friend has one (an authentic, *grumble*) and I really like the weight of it.

I'm leaning more on the copper now though, just because you mentioned that bit about the threads.

i don't see what you could mean by "continuity" lol so I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say I think you meant conductivity...? The two words have very different meanings

Also, the difference between copper and aluminum isn't all that significant, copper is also a very soft metal and really easy to cross thread when almost every atty has a stainless steel 510 threading. So if that such a huge deal breaker for you it should be the same with copper. I think your best option is probably brass since it'll perform better than stainless and is still more than durable enough for our applications.

"Using the Mohs Scale of Hardness, copper has a hardness rating of 3 while aluminum's rating is between 2.5 and 3. Aluminum timpani will dent more readily if you hit them accidentally."

ive got a clone of the clone... (kindbright is the manufacturer) with the mickey mouse finger... and have to say its a great device. the button is butter, hits like a train... oh and it is still magnetic enough of a button to pick up and hold some of my SS mods. lol.

mine is the one w/ black carbon fiber and is really well done.. it does weigh at least 2-3 pounds as well. sorry i can't give more light on the original by americlone... but this clone is great. your original paragraph confused me as it says both americlone and ameravape.
