Hello, all new to the forums,

I purchased an Aegis solo 100W mod a few days ago and tried to update it.

I googled "Aegis Solo firmware update"

which the top link was - Firmware Download

I scrolled down and seen the Aegis 100W I downloaded and updated my Aegis solo using this firmware and it is not the correct firmware.

Now my device will not turn on and there doesn't seem to be any firmware downloads for the Aegis Solo 100W so I am stuck.

(I have tried to email Geekvape but they seem to be very slow to respond.)

Any suggestions would be grateful thank you.

The URL was removed. I do not see an Aegis Solo firmware listed on the Geekvape site. World of difference between the original Aegis 100w and the Solo – installing the incorrect firmware runs the risk of bricking the device. Without the correct firmware there is nothing you can do but wait for Geekvape to respond.

 The firmware in Aegis Solo now is the latest one no need to update!
As for your problem, We just ask for the beta firmware of the Aegis Solo. Maybe you can try this fimrware to update: Mod Issue: Cannot Turn On After Firmware Update

I am surprised this hasn't been mentioned here but I bricked my Aegis Legend about 10 minutes ago. I found a solution online and someone mentioned to just reapply the firmware update BUT be very careful to click the Start button once no matter how long it takes to begin. I did that exactly and viola! It booted up along with the v1.2 firmware.

Today I got a new Aegis Solo black mod, best mod I ever had for MTL, better than Primo Mini SE I had before.

- Just want to check, is there a firmware upgrade for it? How do I check my current firmware version?

There does not appear to be any firmware updates for the Solo. Not too surprising since Aegis is already a mature platform.

To check your version, first power the mod off (tap power 5 times, or open and close the battery cover) then hold down the + and - together.

Mine shows:
GB78 H12
2019
032301

What about yours?

If it's working and doing all you ask ... leave it be. No need to update just to update. :)

Thank you, because I don't even know what firmware is. It works, and I'm not going to fix it till it doesn't.
Firmware is just software programmed into read-only memory. The user interface/options are the firmware. I usually go with "if it ain't broke it don't need fixing".

Two exceptions for me. 1) Evolv updates for the DNA mods. 2) The Eleaf Pico 75's where I installed the Arctic Fox firmware. And that was specifically for AF's implementation of TC which is superior to Eleaf's. Many in the Pico 75 thread say it brings the Pico's up to that of a DNA mod for TC. :)
