Hey everyone!

I just got a ipv d2 and I love it. I am using it with a atlantis v2.

The ipv d2 is great but it only holds 1 battery and they battery life doesn't get me through a whole day. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a 3500mah or higher 18650 battery?

I saw this one on ebay that is a 3500mah battery but it is only 30A. Right now I have a 35A battery in the d2 currently. Does that matter? Will I see a difference?

Thanks I would appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks
Shane

Unfortunately, these "rewrapped" batteries are typically rated far above what they can really handle. There are no genuine 3000mAh, or higher, rated batteries that are also rated above 20A. You can go as high as 30A at 1500mAh-2100mAh or drop down to 15A-20A at 3000mAh. Based on the testing I've done, that Imren is probably an ok 3000mAh 20A battery. But who knows, they can change the cell they use at any time.

About the best you can find for your ipv d2 will be the LG HG2 3000mAh. It can handle up to about 60W or so. If you vape at higher wattages than that I recommend the Samsung 25R or Sony VTC4, only purchased from a known, reliable vendor. Not ebay or Amazon. There are a LOT of fake batteries out there.

The 25R and VTC4 have lower rated capacities than the HG2 but that is the classic tradeoff, capacity vs current rating.

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the info. I do not see myself vaping above 40w so I may go with the 3000mah battery at 20A. I will also stay away from ebay and purchase from a good know vender.

I found these from a reputable sell I purchased the d2 and atlantis from.

It is a 3100mah battery rated at 20A, could anyone recommend this particular battery?

When you look for a Battery, the specification that you should be looking for is "Continuous" or "Constant" Discharge.

Maximum Discharge (or many times called "Pulse" Discharge") is what the Battery can do for a Very "Short" time period of time. And that period of time is not a well defined amount.

Here is an Example of a Battery that has a Max Discharge of 35A. But a Continuous Discharge of 20A.

Those are not actual 20 amp batteries. Some who've tested them suggest that they're between 6-10 amps. Wouldn't recommend them. I've been quite happy with Samsung 30q batteries. 3000 mAh and 15 amps, but in Mooch's tests here on ECF they can handle 20 amps.

Don't put all your trust in mAh ratings. At higher watt settings batteries with a lower mAh rating but high amp rating can outlast higher mAh/lower amp batteries.

Efest is one of the companies most notorious for over-rating their battery specs.

Avoiding Ebay is for inexperienced purchasers or those not willing to take the time to research.
Several Quality online Vendors also sell on Ebay and often at better cost.
Even same price with Free shipping can be a savings.

    Time and effort, people
