maybe this is a stupid question but is there an easy way I can build 0.5ohm dual coil with 22G kanthal? first time building with this gauge and am currently vaping a semi massive (long) 0.5 single coil, any ideas? I have used steam engine to calculate that I could do 5 mm inner diameter to achieve it, but the heat flux is very low (perhaps meaning very slow ramp up, if at all vapable? note: I'm limited by 50 watt capacity on Kbox nano :|)

at 0.5ohm and 50watts, the ramp up is likely going to be your entire fire cutoff time.
actually it's vaping nicely for a single coil, though I'm not sure how long itd take a dual coil to ramp, but it would be just about the same as it is now I imagine because both coils would be 1ohm and, that's the entire question, can I build 1 ohm on 22g wire?

I believe it's 10/9 half wrap, and the ramp up isn't like, boom instant, but no not the duration of the cut off, it takes maybe a second to ramp up, and when it's already heated it vapes fine

I was specifically stating on a dual coil setup it would take forever to get fully to temperature. Of course a single coil will take less time to ramp up, however, I can only imagine the rampup could eventually gunk the coil a bit faster then normal

22g kanthal is designed to be lower resistance for less surface area. Just put together a micro dual coil with 22g kanthal, 5/6 wraps and am pushing .19 ohms which for me is my sweet spot at 100watts. If I were you sticking with a 50w mod, invest in some 26g kanthal. It's great and a lot you can do with it. (Parallel builds) etc
