My name is Paul, I live in Northern Illinois.
I have been vaping for almost a month now.
(As of 3-12-2010)
I started vaping right after a friend of mine in L.A. had quit smoking and started vaping...He also sells e cigs at the club he manages down there.
According to him, he has been smoke free for 2 years thanks to vaping.
Also, California has had a smoking ban in place for over 10 years now. There's even talk of banning smoking in you own car and even in private residences! Heck! There's even talk of having their special enforcement units that randomly inspect businesses, but to also randomly inspect private residences and cars...and, yes, write tickets!
Illinois has had their ban in place for about 2 years now. And it will be a matter of time before Illinois considers (if they haven't already) the same possibilities as California. (More $$$$$$$$)
I am almost 40 years old and have been smoking since I was 17.
I vowed this year that I would quit smoking.
I tried going back on the patch, but it feels like I have built up a tolerance(sp).
So, I did a Google search for electronic cigarettes like Smoke Assasin/Assist, etc...$$$$$$$! Yeowch!
Then I went to a gas station and found Gamucci disposible e cigs...I loved it! So, then I went back and bought a starter kit; The WORST $75 I had ever wasted! They are like sucking through a straw! No throat hit, what so ever!
So, I enhanced my Google search and found a place!
To make an already long story short, I bought a couple of starter kits (cheaper than the one Gamucci mini I bought at the gas station!
I have been hooked since!
Not to mention, you can vape almost anywhere!
(I only found one place that didn't allow it...They weren't very clear on their reasoning. My guess is, the local authorities have itchy ticket fingers!)
I can even do this at work...INSIDE!
No smell! No gibes! And, not to mention, no burning lungs/coughing fits!
