I've been looking around trying to get answers, but I've been coming up a bit short. 26650 vs 18650?
Aside from battery life, what are the advantages of have a 26650 mod (or more specifically, using a 26650 battery)?
EDIT:
If you found this post from Google, so far the only real advantages (covered in this thread) for using a 26650 battery in a mod is battery life. The only 26650 battery currently available is the MNKE brand that has 3500 maH of battery life and 30 amps continuous. The closest 18650 counterpart to this would be the Sony VTC5 which has 2600 maH of battery life and has a 30 amp continuous rating as well.
Speculatively, there was a Sony 26650 battery that has 50 amps continous rating. However, it has been discontinued and experiments done on the battery showed that it was NOT actually 50 amps - and it might have fallen closer to 30 amps or lower.
