Hey there fellow vapers.

So since i have plenty of time to spare until my new Vandy vape Jackaroo gets here i was using some of that time to find a new atty.

I'm a lot into aesthetics and even thou i got the Jackaroo red ridge (meh, will get obsidian black panels later on) i've been looking at black themed attys to go with my mod.

I came upon this list and just wanted to get some feedback on it's validity:

10 Best RTA Tanks of 2020 - For Flavour, Clouds & MTL (Latest) | Ecigclick

Mostly asking because i really like the one in the number 5 position, the Squid Industries Peacemaker 25mm rta.
I love the looks of it and from watching a video it does seem pretty easy to coil which is a big plus for me.

Anyone own one of these? would love to get some feedback on it.

Or perhaps some advice on a black single coil atty that is very easy to coil and that has a distinctive look that would go well with my Vandy Vape Jackaroo (obsidian black).

Good flavour and cloud production is of course a requisite,im not a cloud chaser so any cloud comparable to my current Wasp Nano RTA is fine by me.

Thanks in advance to everyone, keep yourselves safe and be healthy.

P.S. oh and price wise nothing to crazy, within the 30 to maybe 40'ish or even 50 (if it's worth it) price range

I haven't finished writing my '10 Best RTAs' article yet, and it will take me a long time to find someone that wants to publish it. I'll give a quick preview though - The 10 best RTAs are the three that I use the most, a True, a Gotank, and a Doggystyle styled one. :|

Well the 'article' is still on the draft board, and will stay on there for a little while longer. Probably forever.. I was being sorta slight in my slight slight-handed way..

You know, I once farted on an elevator and that was wrong on so many levels too. :w00t:

The list contained some decent RTAs, as far as I could see . I truly don't know much about the peacemaker though, I very much doubt it is my vaping style. I mean there wasn't anything HORRIBLE on the list and like, several of the MTL RTAs I own. Some I liked a TON some not so much.

If I were you and you like the peacemaker go looking for some reviews not necessarily video reviews, but feedback from folks who have bought it. You could use vapecrawler to find some of the larger sites which are selling it and check for reviews. Watching a video review would probably help, too.

Also I would post a thread or get this one changed to "I WANT FEEDBACK ON THE SQUID PEACEMAKER please, from those who own it." What you have now is kinda generic when I opened it I did not expect to find a request for feedback on that particular tank.

It doesn't matter how "Best" it is and what list it does or does not appear on. That tank would not suit my vaping style I don't think, so any comments would be "probably not for me." I will say I have several mods from that company and they seem to have gotten to "pretty solid" although they were super problematic at the start. So IDK how long they have been making tanks etc.

That's about all I got for ya.

    Thanks a bunch Anna.

Yeah you gave me some good ideas.
Ill browse some sellers and see what reviews the peacemaker got.
And about the post yeah i should open a thread about it,was looking for the makers name brand in the sub forum list we have here in ECF but i couldn't find them.

I did watch the video of it done by Jai Haze but he makes me laugh so much i can never focus on the details and the reviews, that dude is kinda crazy but in a good way.
Still got plenty of time to look around,my package hasn't left Hong Kong yet so yeah maybe for Christmas hehe.

I'm pretty sure @Letitia got the SI Peacemaker 25 RTA. But she will also know of similar RDL attys

Have a look last this one:
$17.17 Coppervape Hussar Project X Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 2ml / 316 stainless steel + PEI / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Free Shipping
Amazing flavour, and easy to coil and wick. Also has a 4ml extension
Wide open it is RDL, with good vapour density. But you can also close it down to 1 airhole - for a less cloudy MTL vape

The Peacemaker looks like a very nice RTA Cloud, nice and easy to build on and has some pretty good reviews:thumb:
When you're ready to get yourself a dual coil RTA I think should give number 9 on the list a try;)

    Somewhere between here and there
I looked at the list and the two I’ve had experience with are the profile unity and the Zeus x. The profile gives great flavor but you have to get the wick right or you’ll get seeping out of the airflow holes. I’m a big geekvape fan but didn’t love the Zeus x. However, I got the new Zeus x mesh for review and the flavor is phenomenal. I have also tried the ammit mtl rta. The flavor production was ok but didn’t really stand out to me.

Agreed on both counts. Both are finicky wickers.

Like you say, the Profile Unity is a great vape, but you DO have to get that wicking just right.

The Zeus X is actually good too if you get it right, but if you do not utterly stuff the ports with cotton it'll gurgle and spit like a drunken llama. A hair too tight and you get dry hits. not much room for error.

I've got the profile Unity nailed. It spends more time in my rotation than the Zeus X, which I should pull back out again :D

    @Cloud-FF7
There's nothing wrong with "best of" lists and they can be informative, but they are not divinely inspired. They're still one person or site's opinion.

I have some rather old stuff that I still consider to be on my own "best of" list. Like everybody else, that's just my list though.

i guess this is a nice way of saying that there's no substitute for your own experience. Which comes with time.

Also my own opinion, most vape stuff available today ranges from pretty good to great. It's a fairly rare product that is outright horrible.

Ufff, don't see that happening any time soon.
Just installed my first coil so far and it was a cluster...you get it hehe
Pack came with 2 premade coils and i busted that 1st one trying to get it on,blame it on the fact that both ends were facing the other way...and i needed them opposite so when i tried to turn it to face the other way for my Wasp Nano RTA i busted the thing,to much stress buddy.

Did read a couple of reviews of the Vapefly Brunhilde RTA and they said good things but it just doesn't please me...aesthetically i mean hehe.
Peacemaker is like a reflection of myself,tall..dark...broody,mysterious yet with a sense of power that spreads around to those in close contact.
Meh who am i kidding,im pasty white and not mysterious at all...i usually talk a lot, which is not good on first dates...trust me,i tanked a ton of those hahaha

I'm not familiar with the Peacemaker but I really like the steel tank with slots to see the juice level... looks rugged!

Yep,i love the looks of it.
In black for my jackaroo it would look awesome.

Odd that they put mtl, dlh, rlh in th same list - how do you vape? I've got input for mtl, but I'm worse than useless for anything else.

    Tough question to answer buddy.
When i started vaping and quit cigs for good (November 2018) i didn't even know you could DTL or MTL,then maybe a month back i started to watch some videos and try to imitate both types of ''draw'' and it just got me stressed that i was doing it wrong so now i just vape without putting a label on it.

But both attys i have are MTL,Wasp Nano RTA for outside use, dont want big clouds at home so i use the Wasp for when i go out or to chill in the terrace.
WIth the Wasp sometimes i just keep the smoke in my mouth and sometimes if i crave the ''hit'' ill puff twice before inhaling.
The other Atty is a Innokin Zlide, big difference in taste compared to the Wasp,i normally do a double hit with the Zlide, puff once, wait a second, then a second puff then inhale.

But to be perfectly honest the Wasp Nano RTA satisfies me a lot more than the Innokin Zlide, find myself going out to the terrace more often.
Don't know if it's the cloud or the increase of flavour but the Innokin sometimes isn't enough.

I stopped trying to follow the dtl and mtl videos, just stresses me out i just do whatever i do and the way i do it and it satisfies me (i prefer the Wasp thou) so im all good.

I do have the Peacemaker 25, haven't built it yet.

    I'll wait...

    funny-wait-gif-3.gif

Nah seriously, would love to hear your feedback on the peacemaker.
No hurry, don't want you to feel obligated just for me:

Sorry for the double gif i couldn't choose just one hehe

Just please let me know when you get it built, would love to read your thoughts on it.
    Thanks :)

What coils are they? What is the ID (inside diameter)? All you need is a nail, small screwdriver, coil rod of the same diameter. Slide the coil on it and decide whether to add half a wrap or remove half a wrap. It also helps to leave it on a rod to install the coil (and adjust the line-up/height) My self, I just use a nail (smoothed out the tip with sandpaper)
Are the coils "spaced" or "contact" type? If contact, lean how to "rake" them to get rid of hot spots.

these are the ones i ordered last time, broke the first one trying to make one of the ends opposite of the other:

    Alien Triple Nucleo 0.21ohms

    VapeoTotal.net Alien Triple Nucleo 0.21ohms

About a week or so my friend had to fix some issue with his alarm so he told me to drop by and return a faulty berserker i bought from him.

I told him about my screw up with the coils and he gave me two for free,no idea what they are thou, nothing on the baggie that gives details about the coils, here is a pic i took:

    COILS.jpg

Im waiting for my current coil to wear out and then ill put in one of those.
Don't think ill have any issues since these have the ends opposite to each other so i just slide it in and then with the tip of screwdriver wiggle it a bit until it's well positioned in the middle.
Then yeah the rake thing and once im rid of hot spots (if they were any) i gotta make sure it heats from the center out to the sides.
got some of those ceramic tweezers in a coil master kit i bought so i have to use those so i dont short circuit it,then when all done just wick and vape away.

Thanks for the all the info thou, much appreciated.

You are not kidding about the Brunhilde. I accidentally got the 8 ml one and like, I was STARTLED. After I opened the package I put it down and backed away slowly and carefully for a while.

I keep meaning to shove it on the classifieds, it is in pristine and untouched condition but like, UUH. That means taking pictures of it.
