I found one site - that sold a liquid nicotine drink... 2005
Revelle, LLC / inLife

And another 2006 less clear if anything was sold but taking about liquid nicotine.

I was looking for another 'tobacco supply' store than I thought carried freebase nic among other products during my RYO days 2001 up until finding ecigs but failed to find the site. I had ordered menthol and some other stuff from them at one time.
Did you happen to see this, from 2006?

Demand Nico Worldwide Stop Selling Nicotine Drink

On behalf of the Campaign for tobacco-Free Kids (“Campaign”) and Public Citizen Health Research Group (“Public Citizen”), we are writing to urge the Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) to direct Nico Worldwide, Inc. (“Nico Worldwide”) to immediately cease marketing “Nic Lite™,” a bottled water product containing significant amounts of highly addictive nicotine (two cigarettes worth per 8 ounces), and to initiate an appropriate enforcement action against Nico Worldwide.

Some things never change.

I just did a google search with custom date range, 1/1/01 thru 2/15/07, and it appears that there were some, but I might be misunderstanding what the products are. Maybe somebody with more of an understanding of it, could do the search and see what they think.

I think you are right, for now. Nicotine, VG, and PG have all been given the status of GRAS by the FDA. Nicotine, up to a strength of 100mg/ml has been an over the counter sale item for many years. So I see no problem with it the way it stands now.

But I also believe this will be one of the FDAs first "further actions" to the deeming regs. And I think they won't wait very long after the first 90 days to move on that. They will certainly replace the GRAS recommendation and replace it with something much more stringent. I wouldn't be surprised to see it changed to a controlled substance.

That begs the question. The question is what's "criminal" and who is charged with the duty to enforce various criminal statutes. The U.S.C. (United States Code) spells out what's criminal conduct and specifies which federal law enforcement agencies are responsible for enforcing those various provisions. If selling unapproved e-cigarette products is to be considered criminal activity, then it must be spelled out in a federal statute.

I already posted the FDA response to questions about a black market: Deeming Regulations have been released!!!!

Unfortunately, I think you're probably right.

There, he said, ""I have no idea what the likelihood is for a black market,".

Sounds like the OMB didn't do their job. They heard multiple predictions of a black market problem, and it seems they decided either it wouldn't happen, or that they would ignore their responsibility to take that into consideration.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A proposal to legalize medical ..... in Ohio has cleared a legislative panel and appears headed for a full House vote next week.

The bill would bar patients from smoking the substance but allow them to use it in vapor form.

Under the legislation, a nine-member Medical ..... Control Commission would set the rules for cultivating, distributing and licensing ....... Communities could opt out of hosting dispensaries. Employers who want to maintain drug-free workplaces would be protected from liability.

Rep. Kirk Schuring chairs the House committee that approved the bill Thursday. The Canton Republican says he expects the full House to vote on the bill on Tuesday.

Polls suggest a majority of Ohioans favor legalizing .... for medicinal purposes. Ohio has seen a number of ballot proposals on the issue.

Very interesting. And contrast that with what Kasich (and the legislators) did to vaping nicotine in Ohio...

This sounds very much like things that were written in the Declaration of Independence.
Exactly brah! The Founding Fathers of the USA were very very smart (although the slave thing was a big mistake). They knew what they were doing writing the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and our Bill of Rights! If you get the chance read "The Federalist Papers" it explains why they did what they did to make the greatest government in human history. They gave us a Republic and we are letting it slip away I'm afraid... just not enough people care about politics anymore.

Back in the start Senators went to Washington DC a few times a year to cast votes then they went back home. Now it's all about how much power can they get, live lavish lifestyles, career politicians I mean now they stay in D.C. all the time passing laws after laws after laws, some of those fu#k3rs have been in office for 40+ years. It's not right and I don't want to start a political fight but if Hillary is elected I'm afraid America will be over and done with. I'm only 43 got into politics and voting at age 18 and what I see scares the crap out of me! We have been living under soft tyranny for the past 20+ years plus semi-socialism/capitalism but during the past 14 years it has gotten much worse.

Just like my job back in 2000 I was making $18.85 an hour being a "Prepress Technician" and now I'm doing the same kind of work and only making $8.00 an hour! All the printing companies went overseas back in 2010 and I can't find a job in my career now that is willing to even pay me $12.00 dollars an hour, hell I can't even find a good job anymore.... I just don't understand how the FDA can do what they are doing it has to violate the Constitution somehow, right?

It's like every year or two they make up new stuff to stop people from enjoying themselves.

A few old and new examples...

1: [removed]

2: Second Hand Smoke (which is a lie, I have the studies by the European Health Organization saying 2nd hand smoke is not as dangerous as they claim, probably no worse than sitting in traffic breathing auto exhaust every day, 2nd hand smoke is probably way safer than that) was used to ban Analog's just about everywhere, now restaurants bars, etc are banning ecigs and vaping because they are scared of it!

3: Seatbelt Laws

4: Self Defense Laws (in some states you can be locked up just because you were protecting your family or yourself)... The 2nd Amendment was put in the Bill of Rights second because without it all the other Amendments don't mean crap. The Founding Fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment so we could protect ourselves and to protect ourselves from a Tyrannical Government from taking over the USA, that's why "they" wish they could take it away (and they never give up trying, especially Michael Bloomberg!) because then they get complete control. Obamacare is another way for them to govern us!

5: Taxes....

I mean it just goes on and on and on, they take a little bit of our freedoms away every day until we will have none!

Ahhhh man what a Friday!! I'm off to bed peps. I don't know what we are going to do, "United we Stand, Divided we Fall" and right now this country is sooooo divided (thanks to Political Correctness and our ever expanding Government). We the People are supposed to self govern not the Government and all of it's corrupt offshoots (i.e. FDA, IRS, ATF, etc, etc)! I feel like they want to control everything I do and love just to make my life miserable and because they don't like it.... [emoji48] [emoji48] [emoji48] [emoji89] [emoji89]

Sorry about the rant, I'll step down off my soapbox now. [emoji14]

I checked Julie and Bill's profiles and they haven't posted recently. As far as the HR2058 - just VPA has said that about Cole 'preferring the Appropriations Bill over it' but didn't find any direct statement of that - just what I posted on Cole's site. I'm leaning toward the Approp. Bill and have contacted my Rep and the Senator's on the Appropriations committee. I would hope others would do this as well. The Senate is a harder sell but the R's have the majority there. Overturning a veto though is likely not possible.

I would hope so, too, but I believe we need a new CTA from CASAA. People are busy, upset, distracted. And not everybody is following this thread. We need help!

"Lol!" says the FDA. "You can give it a try, but the process is very expensive, time consuming and there's only a minute chance you will succeed. How much money do you have?"

LOL indeed. Zeller himself just made this frightening statement:

"Mitch Zeller, director of the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products, tells U.S. News it's impossible to say if any e-cigarette product will be approved."

Or, it seems, the topic. I checked another e-cig forum and the thread on Deeming is only 2 pages long, with little useful information.
