In response to the California Department of Public Health's new $7 million anti-ecigarette propaganda campaign "#stillblowingsmoke", which launches today, a new website notblowingsmoke.org has been published.

Please visit the site and share widely on social media and with friends and family, and let's see this go even more viral than the #curbit fightback!

Very Interesting Joe ! I checked it out. We live in a sick world where freedom of speech and choice has been eliminated. If everyone quit smoking the ecomony would crumble. People would live longer and be a burden on the Health Care Industry. Most people don't have enough savings for retirement so the Government would have to take care of them. On the other hand the government says quit smoking just to shut up the big mouths who complain about it. However they know if that happens they would be out of a lot of tax money. vaping is dipping into their stealing ! I once saw a bumper sticker it said "Don't steal the government doesn't like competition" How true it is ! The really sad thing is the people who pay the money have the least amount of rights. Not to condone smoking (I quit ) but smokers should have some rights. They pay a lot of taxes. Take for example driving. You pay tax when you buy the car, you pay registration fees, insurance fees, licensing fees, gas tax, insurance fees and guess what ? The pedestrian and bicycles that pay nothing have the right of way ! Then you get hit with speed camera tickets, bus lane tickets, and red light camera tickets. same scenario, If everyone quit driving the economy would crumble. Anything that there is a lot of is "Easy Money" for the government. We live in a sick world where the people with the biggest mouths control it. Sorry for the rant lol

DomDoobie gets it. It's true that the government doesn't want anyone to stop smoking. They are very happy having the lowest income bracket (which make up the majority of smokers) die at age 50 as long as they collect those taxes. Once those people die, there's no need for Obamacare. The government makes tax money off them while they are alive and doesn't have to take care of them when they're old. It's a win-win for Uncle Sam.

They don't want e-cigs ruining their racket. That is, unless they can tax them equally, which they will eventually do.

We're not going to be able to fight taxes and I think it's a waste of resources to even try. They are inevitable, just like Ben Franklin said. It's what government does, has always done, and will always do in the future. The best we can do is to try and provide facts about e-cigs based on the best available data.

This isn't just about taxes. It is about fighting the lies they are spreading, it is about standing up for ourselves and our children. Do you want to see it get to the point that in 10 years if your child decides they want to vape they won't have that option?

It is about the states that got the MSA and instead of using it how they should have, they took out loans against it, promising to pay all the MSA money they get every year to pay back the loans, and how we now threaten them being able to pay them back. They are getting ready to default and why, because the states get the MSA money based off their yearly tobacco sales, the sales go down so does their share of the MSA money that year.

It is about US, about what we WANT and what we are WILLING to fight for.

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
The whole premise the LADPH is using is built on a total BS lie. "Still blowing smoke" ?
That right there shows how ignorant and/or prejudiced they are, for we all know it is not smoke in the least bit. But they`ll try and get some lo-fo`s that are just too lazy to investigate the claim to parrot the blatant lie. They are making it purposely sound like its akin to smog or toxic waste. The party behind the currant admin has been very adept at this exact sort of manipulation for the last several years, but I do believe joe public is starting to finally wake up and see the lies for what they are.

It's like I said we live in a sick world where freedom of speech and freedom of choice is gone. As a former Marine I stand for God, Country and Freedom. This is no longer the case. Everyone should have rights from smokers to vapers to people that don't want either. IT IS ABOUT THE MONEY. So campaign against the polticians that couldn't balance a ball let alone a states economy and hope that you can get these people out of office. That's the way to fight back !

Bump for the cause !

I don't twitter or facebook, but the following was sent to UTSanDiego News Editor:

I thought the information within following link may be of interest to your readers on several levels. Millions of people have escaped the chains of Big Tobacco by using personal vaporizers only to face being shackled once again by the State, which seems more focused on immediate sources of income than on the longlasting effects of millions of its citizens engaging in harm reduction and healthier living.

NOT Blowing Smoke - Why the California Department of Public Health LIES about electronic cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping, and vapor products

Sincerely,
(little old me)

Oh I forgot. I heard a report on the radio the other day that some person in jersey (medical person or something like that) was saying that one bottle of e-liquid was enough to kill 4 little children if they got a hold of it. They recommended not buying e liquid. So smoke instead so they get the tax dollars ?? Use the little kids that really didn't die as an excuse?? (No offense to anyone who had this happen) Another sneak attack on the vaping community. You watch pretty soon they will all be against it because vaping is the bully taking their lunch money away !

How many children will a single 1 gallon bottle of bleach kill? How about just one of the steak knives in my drawer? What if your child decides to crawl in an oven? Stairs, we should ban all stairs, children are very prone to falling down stairs, at the very least we should regulate them to a maximum of 3 steps.

Thank you very my government, but I, and probably 99% of the population, can parent our children ourselves. The ones that can't, well, those children will find something to get into.

Sorry, the "protecting the children" argument always induces a rant.

Thanks to all who participated. Our campaign was a massive success. Thousands of vapers everywhere flooded social media and exposed the criminal fraud and malpractice perpetrated by the militant extremists at CDPH.

positive reports are coming in from the field:
Still not blowing smoke - Facts Do Matter

and a few heavy voices are promoting our fight in the mainstream media:
Documents: California Department of Public Health Launches $75 Million Campaign to Discourage Vaping | Americans for Tax Reform
The Shame Of America's "Public Health"
Special Report: When it comes to e-cigs, Big Tobacco is concerned for your health | Reuters

But, we cannot let this energy dissipate. Now is the time to push forward, encircle the TC parasites and destroy them once and for all. This $75M dollar fraud can't be left unpunished, and it's big enough to land all the Cali extremist in jail, starting with the head rat at UCSF - glANTZ.
