I've been using the Silver Bullet for the past 3 months. I've used it with multiple types of atomizers and at varying voltage ranges. Here is the information I can provide from my point of view.
3.7 volts
- 510 (normal resistance): Good in terms of flavor and throat hit, but relative as to how good a 510 can be at normal resistance and voltage levels. I've never been that crazy about the 510 series, but for the size, availability, and ability to handle higher voltages without blowing out immediately, it has become my goto atomizer. I do not like how much 510's leak though from the air holes.
- 510 (low resistance): Good flavor, not much of a change between normal resistance and low in terms of flavor. Better throat hit, but not equivalent to 5v like other people say. Needs a cartridge mod to keep juice flowing properly.
- 901 (normal resistance): Excellent flavor, none to mild throat hit. I really like the 901 if you want to really taste what you are vaping. While larger than the 510 series, and needing an adapter for the Silver Bullet (and no 901 native connection available), the length of the Silver Bullet becomes even longer. I do like the 901 cartridges though, as they feel very natural in your mouth. Less leakage than 510's. Cannot handle 6v for very long.
- M601: Needs an RN4081 adapter or newly available M601 adapter from only a couple sources. Excellent flavor, good throat hit, not high on vapor production. I first started using an M601 as my first e-cig. I liked the size, but batteries didnt last long. Charged quickly though. Cartridges needed to be refilled often. I liked the M601 but the negatives made me search for a new option. Tried using them once I found an adapter that fit. Even better flavor on 3.7v on the Silver Bullet. Don't use at 6v.
6v vaping
- 510 (normal resistance): Excellent throat hit, slightly off flavors (some flavors will taste burnt), burns through juice very quickly. Must use some sort of cartridge mod or direct drip to get best results.
- Don't use 901's or M601 attys at 6v. Burn out and burnt tastes VERY prevalent at this voltage level.
General usage
The Silver Bullet is an absolute workhorse. It always works, can do two different voltages, and looks great when doing it. It feels very firm and well built in your hand. And if yours is silver, you will absolutely get attention when using it. The button is excellent, well recessed and doesn't accidentally turn on easily. But being so capable also means its big. It is one of the larger PV's on the market, and you will feel that size in your pocket or in the case you carry it around in.
On the plus side, the 18650 batteries last 2 days with very heavy vaping if you get good quality batteries. RCR123A will last me the better portion of a day. There is also now a passthrough available for the Silver Bullet, which gives the unit a really nice heft and unlimited vaping at 5v (which is one of the best voltages to vape at in my opinion).
I also suggest you invest in a bottle of Noalox for the threading and some sort of metal cleaner. I use Brasso, other's have used different products such as Mother aluminum polish or another brand. You should wipe and clean the threats around the battery casing once every 1-2 weeks and recoat in Noalox. Clean with metal cleaner/polish as often as you like.
Quick tip - a microfiber sunglasses holder stores the Silver Bullet nicely with the atomizer attached and can help keep it clean when you want to wipe it down.
